Moute still kicks Cal Boute!

Brian, the lonely Cal in our group (but he's happy with his poster)

Me and Suong

Wow what a game! UCLA basketball is just awesome! Another victory for the boys of Westwood. I have been looking forward to this game forever. My friends and I went to Cal to see our boys play. The first half was intense and scary. Cal actually played well and UCLA played poorly. Cal's defense was solid and we couldn't shoot. There were so many missed opportunities. And of course there were some questionable fouls. I was teasing Brian about how great Cal players like to flop...hahaha. We sat in the general section which happened to be mostly UCLA fans. It was awesome. Brian was surrounded! It was great to do the 8-clap when Cal played their fight song. It felt as if we were at Pauley Pavillion. The second half was pretty much UCLA. We out scored them from the beginning. The final score 62-46. UCLA wins!
My friends and I wore our "Moute kicks Boute" shirts. Erik had to pretend to wear UCLA baby blue but he was really wearing a Berkeley shirt. What a butthead! Shin came out too and was being a good sport...he was actually wearing baby blue! Even though Cal didn't win, Brian got a really cool poster of the Cal Basketball team. He seemed really happy about that!

MLK weekend in Tahoe

This past weekend was MLK. My friends and I decided to spend some time up in Tahoe. We stayed in Incline Village (near Diamond Peak), where our friend, Steph, had a place we could stay. The place was awesome! 5 bedrooms and 3 baths! It was huge! Anyways, Erik, Jen, Alan, Chris, and I rented a SUV and drove up on Friday night. Don't ever rent a car from National if you need a snowboard rack. They don't have one! Because of this, we had to buy a rack from sports basement and REI and install it! We didn't leave the city until 10:30pm! It really sucked.
We had fun though. Erik learned how to snowboard for the very first time. He did great. I was still trying to learn how to toe turn....gosh it's hard. Thanks to Jen, Alan, and Erik. I got butt pads which helped a lot. On the first day, we went to Northstar (my favorite). The snow was good. But the second day was horrible. We went to Diamond Peak and the snow was awful. There were ice patches everywhere. I only went on two runs and stopped. I didn't want to risk injuring myself. So I went back to the lodge and had hot chocolate and watched football.
Overall, the weekend trip was awesome! Can't wait to go again.

"Sexiest Sole Survivor" Party

Yul, Yul, Yul,.... The First Asian American to win on the hit TV reality show, Survivor. It's funny to know that we have mutual friends. It is such a small world! It also helps to know that he is a Lambda too. Anyways, the party was awesome but crowded. The party was held at Dolce in San Francisco. It's not my favorite club but the music was great! Got to meet Yul and he was pretty much like how he was portrayed on TV...cool and calm. I always pictured him taller though. It was exciting to meet him in person...finally. This was one of my favorite Survivor episodes. The Asians represented well. :)
Here are some pictures from the party...
